Baragon 2001

Baragon 2001

Bandai released this figure in 2001. It's an important figure as it hails the return of the 8 inch scale to Bandai figures as opposed to the 6 inch sizing employed in previous years. Yet the tag is very much like the other, 6 inch, figures in the Movie Monsters series. However, although scaled larger than earlier figures introduced in the series, it's still a slightly smaller figure than the other 8 inchers, as the character is much smaller in the film.

Following in their tradition of producing translucent theater-exclusive figures, Bandai outdid themselves by producing a whopping four different ones for the GMK film, one of each kaiju appearing. The Baragon exclusive is molded in translucent red.

A translucent orange Baragon was also released as an event exclusive to commemorate the opening of Yuji Nishimara's toy museum in Japan. This version was limited to 3000 pieces, which were individually numbered on their tags.
