Godzilla Electronic Talking Jumbosaurus

Godzilla Electronic Talking Jumbosaurus

This Godzilla was first released in 1978 by Popy. It is also called the talking Godzilla due to the pullstring on the back between two of the fins, that when pulled causes Godzilla to roar. One look at this might cause one to ask what happened with its American cousin the Shogun Godzilla. The right fist shoots by pressing the button on the right arm by the elbow. There are wheels on both legs that allow him to roll about freely.

The instructions show how the Jumbo Godzilla is put together and works. On the base, right in front of the tail there is a place for an on/off switch and there is also a hole in the mouth. In the prototype they were going to have smoke come out of the mouth, controlled by the switch. So rumor has it, it was left out in the final production, but the mold holds a reminder of what have been. It has the familar Popy look and stands over 16 inches tall.
