Godzilla 1962 (King-Goji) Glow in the Dark

Godzilla 1962 (King-Goji) Glow in the Dark

The glow-in-the-dark Aurora Godzilla kit was initially issued in 1969 and rereleased in 1972. In the 1969 Glow in the Dark series of boxes the artwork was printed onto glossy stock paper and then glued onto a sturdy cardboard box. This continued until 1972, when the process was changed to the artwork being printed directly onto a thin, lighter weight cardboard box.

Although the same artwork was used for the 1972-1975 series of kits ,the snappy artwork quality of the 1969 boxes degenerated considerably to a washed out, faded look.

The figure appears to be based on the KING-Goji (Godzilla 1962) suit, as there are no ears on Godzilla and he has three-toed feet. Here are detailed assembly instructions.
