Godzilla Soft Vinyl Collection 1
This set of eight 2.5cm super-deformed figures was released in summer 1998 in conjunction with the theatrical release of TriStar's Godzilla in Japan. It is based on a similar capsule toy series previously offered by Bandai that featured Ultraman and related characters. The figures are made of vinyl, have painted features and come packaged one per capsule for ¥100 each. The detail on these figures is excellent, especially considering the SD caricature style in which they have been sculpted. A second set was also issued in late 1998. A display card shows all the figures.
